Tokyo-based label Wacko Maria have built a reputation on reliability, developing a brand identity at the intersection of subcultural influences ranging from rockabilly, to motorcycle culture, to 70s cinema. The iconoclastic label has also developed a long list of innovative collaborations. This season sees the return of the coveted short-sleeve shirts made in collaboration with Jean-Michael Basquiat's estate, alongside graphics and prints from longtime Wacko collaborator tattooist Tem Lehi.
What would a Wacko Maria collection be without animal print? Made in collaboration with Honolulu-based sustainable footwear label HAYN, the Wacko Maria HAYN Sandals are a moulded slide featuring an animal print midsole.
