Entitled 'Creep Very,' Undercover's autumn/winter 2021 collection aims at translating the all-encompassing eeriness and anxieties of the covid-era. When designing this collection, Jun Takahashi has stated that he was channelling despair and anxiety, not just his own but that of Japan and the world beyond. Fittingly, for the collection's launch at Tokyo Fashion week, Thom Yorke created a new, haunting version of Radiohead's classic track 'Creep,' thereby commenting on how the pandemic completely changes the way we view—and listen to—the past. The graphics across the 'Neoboy' range from Takahashi's sublabel Undercoverism show the designer engaging in the kinds of juxtaposition for which he became known, disturbing the stability of everyday objects and concepts in a time when everything is up for reconfiguration.
