The Tie Dye Oxford Overshirt follows the process of the Artisanal Collection by reconstructing fabric offcuts in a patchwork fashion. Each overshirt is uniquely tie dyed to reflect a pale, vintage stonewash design. In true Sillage form, each overshirt comes in a classic, oversized, boxy silhouette with voluminous sleeves. No two overshirts are the same, and each is numbered by hand by friend of Sillage, Hisayuki Hiranuma.
Sillage was founded just three years ago in 2019, by then 24 year-old Nicolas Yuthanan Chalmeau, a French citizen with Thai heritage who had recently moved to Tokyo after feeling its pull on a trip two years prior. Started with very little investment, Sillage has broken the rules of the fashion industry since day one. At Double Double, we’re proud to be one of the first boutiques in Australia or New Zealand to stock Sillage. This instalment from the label includes an updated version of the piece that started it all—the Hakama pant—alongside other pants, shorts, jackets, and shirting, all employing Sillage’s unique approach to structuring oversized silhouettes.
