The Paloma Wool Vida Pants are a mid-wash, mid-rise pair of denim jeans, which feature a laser-printed portrait of Vida Adamczewski, friend of the designer, on the front, and images of horses from the Spanish island of Menorca on the back. The jeans are part of a Paloma Wool capsule which explores laser-printing as a sustainable alternative to traditional denim dying and printing; it uses 62% less energy, 67% less water and 85% fewer chemical products.

At the core of Paloma Wool’s mission is a desire to create space to celebrate and think about the act of getting dressed: the boundaries between art and fashion are blurred in service of experimentation and thoughtful play. In AW21, we see garments that can be worn longer, shorter or back-to-front, as well as a continued commitment to sustainable textile production, and the introduction of unisex styles: the Paloma World is for everybody to enjoy. The range nods to the revival of 90s silhouettes and details prominent in founder Paloma Lanna’s youth. Lanna’s love of the Barcelonian outdoors also permeates the designs: several prints reference the sea and the sky, allowing the wearer to use clothes as a way of connecting their body with the natural environment.
