A sheer, slouchy take on an athletic classic, Kowtow's Knitted Polo is constructed using a net-like pointelle stitch. Made from organic cotton, the short-sleeve top features ribbed finishings at the collar, cuffs and hem.
In Kowtow's latest release, the New Zealand-based pioneers of sustainable fashion present a range made entirely from organic cotton. The natural fibre is biodegradable and renewable, grown without harmful chemicals, and with less water than conentional cotton. Their Fairtrade-certified garments are made in a responsible, transparent supply chain, using inks and dyes approved by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
While the choice to use just one fibre in textile production might seem restrictive to some designers, Kowtow finds freedom in limitations. This collection of knits, denim and canvas pieces are cohesive and imaginative, while easily fitting into a sustainble wardrobe model that values the longevity and versatility of clothing.
