Built from the spirit of cooperation with a uniquely anti-industry ethos, Akila continue to lend their eyewear-making expertise to collaborations with some of the most forward-thinking labels and creative individuals around. This latest collection from the proudly LA-based label includes a collaboration with boundary-pushing label Charli Cohen as well as several frames from Akila's expanding archive.
The Akila Method is the LA-based label's most recent wayfarer-inspired eyewear shape, adorned with seemingly contradicting details. The words "Exactitude is not Truth" on the inside of the temple are juxtaposed by ruler markings on the top of the frame, a clear symbol of precision. Aside from this unresolved tension, the Method features unique rectangular rivets on the frame and temple. Here with a black frame and black lenses, the Method also features durable 5-barrel hinges with stainless steel temple cores for strength and flexibility.
Like all Akila eyewear, the Method is crafted from eco-conscious bio-acetate frames, scratch-resistant optical class 1 nylon lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection. Each pair of Akila sunglasses is handmade in limited numbers to ensure precision and quality for eyewear sure to endure.
Made from 100% plant-based acetate.
