Built from the spirit of cooperation with a uniquely anti-industry ethos, Akila continue to lend their eyewear-making expertise to collaborations with some of the most forward-thinking labels and creative individuals around. This latest collection from the proudly LA-based label includes a collaboration with boundary-pushing label Charli Cohen as well as several frames from Akila's expanding archive.
As if straight from Warhol and his band of photogenic outcasts, the Akila Frenzy glasses draw inspiration from 1960s art-fashion at the height of the pop-art movement. Nodding to avant-garde shapes of the era, the Frenzy charts a balance between daring aesthetics and more subdued silhouettes with a butterfly-shaped frame. Here in the jazzy jade and violet colourway, the Frenzy also features durable 5-barrel hinges with stainless steel temple cores for strength and flexibility.
Like all Akila eyewear, the Frenzy is crafted from eco-conscious bio-acetate frames, scratch-resistant optical class 1 nylon lenses with 100% UVA/UVB protection. Each pair of Akila sunglasses is handmade in limited numbers to ensure precision and quality for eyewear sure to endure.
Made from 100% plant-based acetate.
